DEDICATION TO OUR FRIEND

Aloysius George Pichler aka 'Pickles'

May 23, 1953 - July 8, 2004

In our lives we come across people who have a profoundly positive effect on us. I graduated as a police officer in South Australia in 1978. As a very young constable I was introduced to my new partner, Pickles.

How would I describe him - he had charactistics that stuck with me for all the years that I knew him. He short wiry hair, a characteric handlebar moustache and round glasses. But most of all, he was fun to be around.

He had a quick wit and loved a laugh.

As we went our seperate ways in the police, we remained good friends. As a young single guy, I knew that I was always welcome at his home and was guaranteed a good feed by his lovely wife, Penny.

I watched their two young children, Libby and Paul grow up into fine young people and later he was able to watch my own three children grow. Sadly, he was only to see them grow as young teenagers.

Rest in peace, my friend. You will be in our hearts forever!
